Ordering Whole and Half Beef and Pork: A Guide

Step 1: Decide How Much Meat You Need

  • Whole vs. Half Beef: A whole animal typically yields about 390 to 455 pounds of freezer-ready beef, while a half provides approximately 195 to 228 pounds.

  • Whole vs. Half Pig: A whole pig generally yields about 105 to 123 pounds of freezer-ready pork, whereas a half pig provides approximately 53 to 62 pounds.

  • When deciding between a whole or half, consider your freezer capacity, your family’s consumption preferences, and how you plan to utilize various cuts of meat.

Our goal is to provide a clear and straightforward transaction to ensure your satisfaction as you enjoy the high-quality meat from our farm.

Step 6: Pay Butcher Final Invoice

  • You will pay the processor, Nordic Meats, separately for the processing of your beef or pork order. Since each cut sheet is uniquely customized based on your individual preferences, the costs for processing can vary between customers. This separation ensures that you only pay for the specific cuts and services you choose, allowing for a personalized experience tailored to your needs. Nordic Meats will provide you with a detailed invoice for their processing services, making it easy to understand the costs associated with your specific order.

Step 7: Pick up at Butcher
